PSI – PromoTex Expo – viscom: Meet the industry giants

For the second time, the PSI in conjunction with the PromoTex Expo and viscom unites the entire world of advertising and selling under one roof. On this occasion, major companies and organisations as well as the most important visionaries and personalities from the world of promotional products come to Europe's No. 1 industry meeting point in Düsseldorf. More than 500 managing directors and high-ranking representatives of associations and service providers use the trade show triad for lively discussions during these three days. The following is a summary of the welcoming addresses from five of the major players in the industry.


Sustainable fashion is a matter of importance for three quarters of German consumers. They want to know, quite rightly, how their clothes are produced. That is why I am very pleased that the PromoTex Expo has made Sustainability 2020 its centrepiece. Visitors can follow a specially designated “green route” that takes them to sustainable exhibitors and can learn all about sustainability. There are more sustainable companies than one might think. In September 2019, 27 textiles companies were in the first cohort to receive the Green Button – the publicly-endorsed label that marks out textiles made in accordance with social and sustainability standards.

Every year, I look forward to heading to Europe for the PSI show because it never fails to impress. It’s a must-attend show for anyone in the promotional products industry on the lookout for the latest trends and hottest products. The three trade show segments PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom have the common objective of addressing interested parties from the field of the external image of companies and institutions. In this respect, plausible benefit and synergy effects can be expected. I myself am active in the field of garment technology/fabrication and am therefore particularly pleased about both: active participation at the trade show and the opportunity to generate new networks in the field of promotion, sports and workwear as a trade fair visitor.
