Baby-rib is a ribbed knitted fabric that is manufactured using two-ply yarns. Baby rib is a very sturdy and soft fabric, and also very stretchy. The bleed is the area added to artwork that extends beyond the edge of the final trimmed edge of the print format on the promotional product or the type area when printing on paper.
Example: As printers cannot print right to the edge of a sheet of paper, they must use a sheet that is larger than the document size. Therefore, if an image should fill an entire page of a catalogue, the printer prints it 2-3 mm (top, bottom and outside, but not gutter) beyond the edge of the document and then cuts it to the size of the document.

Blind embossing describes the stamping of an imprint into the surface of a promotional product or gift without colours (in contrast to foil embossing where the imprint is stamped into the surface using coloured foils, e.g. silver or gold).
