Brands Fashion GmbH, the Buchholz/Northern Germany-based European supplier of sustainable workwear and merchandising articles, started the year 2020 with a change in management. Mathias Diestelmann, who has been working as COO for the textile specialist for three years, succeeds co-founder Dr. Ulrich Hofmann, who has been appointed Chairman of the Advisory Board. The long-standing Hamburg-based company Jebsen & Jessen Textil KG, managed by Michael Schwaegerl, has been the strategic partner and majority shareholder of Brands Fashion GmbH since 2017. Diestelmann has very extensive textile expertise. Among other things, he managed sourcing offices in Bangladesh and China for over 8 years, with a main focus on quality and compliance assurance. After returning from Asia, he successfully integrated the German supplier of merchandise for discounter Jefferson GmbH into the corporate structure of Brands Fashion. One of the major challenges will be the ongoing digitalisation as a qualitative addition to the offerings. “Brands Fashion is already very well positioned digitally. We already have three state-of-the-art, fully digitalised warehouse locations in Germany and the USA. We are continuously developing along the entire production chain and also offer our customers, for example, the fulfilment of tailor-made B2B and B2C web shops,” commented Diestelmann. Hofmann co-founded the company in 2002 and since then has been successful as CEO and above all as an innovative driver of Brands Fashion's sustainable textile range. As Chairman of the Advisory Board, he is now responsible for the further strategic direction towards sustainability and digitalisation in close cooperation with Diestelmann.
