"Custom-made" products are becoming ever more popular.
Only those providing sustainable and customised customer solutions can continue to enjoy success even in times of stagnant or even declining demand for promotional products. This is the outcome of a survey carried out recently by the Institut für Handelsforschung (IfH) amongst 500 promotional product manufacturers and distributors in seven European countries. 73 percent of those surveyed believe that the significance of environment-friendly promotional products will continue to increase in the future. Sustainability is already a topic of major importance for a third of all companies. The uniqueness of the products also appears to be gaining in importance: half of all companies active in the promotional product industry offer "custom-made products". And 59 percent are expecting customised solutions to become even more significant in the future. The European industry association EPPA and its corresponding national associations are the initiators of the market and economy survey carried out four times per year. Promotional product manufacturers and distributors in Belgium, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands and Austria were asked for their views.
